Jade Emperor's Birthday Celebration
The ninth day in the first month of lunar calendar is also known as the Jade Emperor’s birthday. It is a tradition that has been practiced since decades ago, whereby celebrations are especially grand among the Hokkiens. I’m really happy to get to spend my day with my dear ones at Chew Jetty during this grand occasion. The fireworks, the crowd, lanterns and offerings, makes it more like chinese new year. How I love this place, I’m proud to be a Hokkien, a Penangnite!
Last but not least, may everyone have a prosperous and blessed year ahead.
